Red Riding Hood Balaclava
Yarn kit for the Rødhette (Little Red Riding Hood) balaclava, which is a thick and warm balaclava with a warm neck. The hat is knitted quickly on large needles in two strands: Aran Pure Merino Wool together with Lace Mohair/silk.
The front piece and the back piece are knitted back and forth on circular needle separately, from the bottom up to after the split. The work is then put together, and it is further knitted in the round on circular needles. The stitches are cast off for the neck, then the work is knitted back and forth on a circular needles to the final measurements. The balaclava is sewn together at the top with a mesh stitch. Finally, an edge is knitted in purl around the face opening which is fastened on the inside.
